How can I succeed in a career? Im planning to take up culinary course but I dont have the passion as of now.?

Im planning to take up culinary course this coming June. not only is the tuition fee high but I don't have the passion to cook since I haven't tried cooking. The reason why I want to take up culinary course is for my career. I've heard from many that graduates from this course can get good employment and good amount of salary. I just wanted to seek for your advice.

  1. dont do something for the money, especially something you will be doing until you retire! find your passion and stick with it!
  2. before you sign up for a pricey tuition culinary course.. you need to want to be a chef, baby. Yes, they make some darn good money, but they also work their way up, sous chef, taking courses in Europe or new york before you get your own kitchen and that is where the money is. and think of the logistics here. you want good employment... think of all the restaurants and you don't have a passion for cooking and you want to and a well paying job in one of those restaurants. Hmmmm Why don't you pick something you are passionate about. then think how you can make that into a money making venture. I never thought I would see my son making a living all he wanted to do was snow board, if he wasn't snowboarding, he was getting ready for snowboarding season. Now he owns a retail store, selling them, he also has classes for beginners, and more advanced classes for the daredevils that go upside down. So his passion turned into a career. that's the difference between a job and a career. a job is necessary, a career is enjoyable and still pays the bills.
