Full Careers
Pursue a career in Addictions Counseling or Psychiatric Nursing?
In school, I was given the opportunity to explore one of the two fields. (there were other choices, but these were my favourites of the careers I'm apparently suited to - next to Strarving Artist.) Any information you could give me on these two careers would be greatly appreciated. Preferably from someone who knows what they're talking about, or better yet, someone who works/has worked in one of these fields.

- You may consider being a psychiatric nurse in a drug detox center. I am employed by a transititional housing program that specializing in duel diagnosis populations. The clients are recovering from addiction and have an underlying psychiatric or psychological diagnosis. It is a very rewarding job. You might enjoy working with this population as well.
