How do I land a career position with a financial services company after job hopping for the past 5 years?

- First of all, BELIEVE in yourself. Then explain how the different jobs helped you to be prepared for this job. Toot your own horn, noone else will be there to do it for you. If you feel that you are really qualified for this positon, flat outright tell them that you are the best person for the job due to your experience in other jobs. Remember the 4 C's: Calm, Cool, Collected and Confident!! Good luck!!
- Contact every financial services company you're willing to work for. Let each of them know you are available, and interested in working for them. One (or more) will offer you a position.
- 1) Education - Are you qualified? FS is a very competitive area so you will need to be at the top of your game. 2) DONT JOB HOP. I am an employer and I will not hire someone who has job hopped for any position other than a secretary. I want to see at least one job that has lasted minimum 2.5 years but will prefer someone with 3 years plus. Why? Because you can coast through a job that long but at about 2.5 years your actual performance in the past can catch up to you. Without this I will not hire anyone. 3) Dont play games in the interview, do not lie about ANYTHING as we can tell. Employers have generally done thousands of interviews, we can tell immediately when you are not telling the truth. If you are honest about something that is not great this will actually work in your favour as honesty is something that we look for. Thats it really. If you can talk the talk AND walk the walk go for it. But first stop job hopping, no one will touch you if you dont.
