What is the best path to a career in the Foreign Services?
I am interested in working in the foreign services. What should I major in college and what should I do after college. Etc.

- Here are a couple of links: http://studentcenter.ja.org/aspx/findcareer/career.aspx?industryid=7&careerid=53 This one's more technical: http://www.fsa.usda.gov/Internet/FSA_File/art24.pdf I suspect the best way to get into the field is by becoming proficient in a key foreign language, such as Arabic, Chinese, or Japanese.
- You might look into a major in International Relations. You might also look into working for the Peace Corps to get some international experience after college or search for an internship with a US based organization that can give you the international exposure you are looking for. Learning a foreign language can be of great benefit as well especially Arabic. Research colleges with Petersons and look for non-profit jobs at Idealist.
