I have 2 AA Degrees, a Bachelor's Degree in Management, 61 units completed for the Education Specialist Credential in M-M Disabilities and additional coursework in ASL, Child Development and Computers/Office Technology. I did not pass my student teaching due to my disability. My work experience includes (Aide, Substitute Teacher, ESL Testing Technician, Non-profit agencies for clients w/disabilities, food service and retail). I could get my Masters in ED w/o the credential by taking 4 more classes ( + my thesis). Or, I could take the same amount of classes for the ECE Credential, (no thesis required) But, what if I don't pass my student teaching again? Most of my education and experience is in education. If I apply in a field that is different, employers say I need a different degree or ask, why the change? I need to know what am I qualified to do with what I have so far. If I need to go a little further, Masters Degree or an ECE credential? Please help if you can. I have passed the CBEST, SSAT and RICA Examinations for teaching. I do not have the energy to start a different Masters Degree from the bottom-up.
